Ministry Objective

 

To edify and encourage the church family with engaging opportunities for worship and

praise; Evangelize and reach out to the community, region and the world through

comprehensive music ministry; Train musicians as worship leaders; Teach biblical

concepts of music and worship, and, Promote the various and diverse ministries

associated with our church.

In addition to planning, preparing, and presenting comprehensive worship and praise for

weekly gatherings, the Music Ministry actively seeks to involve people in the Sanctuary

Choir, Senior Adult Choir, Children's Choir Ministries, Instrumentalists, Small Vocal

Groups, Soloists, and the Celebration Worship Praise Team.

At each of these churches, I served as Minister of Music in charge of

performance and administration. Throughout my years of ministry, I

have, at one time or another, been responsible for the following:

• Director of choir and orchestra for worship services

• Choral Director of children through senior adults

• Drama Director and coordinator of major productions

• Instrumental Director-keyboard, hand bells, guitar, ukulele, and

  orchestra instruments.

• Vocal Instructor for individuals, groups, and seminars

• Implemented and orchestrated praise teams to lead in worship services

• Performed pastoral duties when without a pastor at various churches

• Administrator of music ministries overseeing hiring and firing of

  personnel, training music secretaries and volunteers

 

 Other Music Related Ministries:

 

To maintain a fully graded music program from children's choirs through senior

adults. To administrate music and senior adult budgets and maintain them. To

be the worship leader for the worship services and conduct the particular choirs,

ensembles, and other small groups with which I have been called to do so.

 

 

I have served as Minister of Worship and the Arts and Media while at Leawood Baptist Church with the worship services, TV and Radio productions and other special programs throughout the year.
